More than 90 Minutes is a 100% independent publication for Celtic Fans by Celtic Fans. Contributors to the fanzine come from all walks of life and include former Celtic players. More than 90 Minutesis the label with the better stable.
Contributors include former Celtic goalkeeper John Fallon, Author and Football Historian, David Potter, Celtic Collector, Joe Gilhooley, Journalists Michael Pringle, David Shearan and Eoin Coyne. Plus a number of supporters like John Molloy, Henry McGarvie and Vincent Doherty who all deliver stories that affect Celtic supporters and I must also mention the contributors from Keep the Faith website. Our resident poet is Daniel McDonagh and resident cartoonist is Michael “Scoby” Coleman. Tim Molloy also writes his column in our native Irish tongue.
In each issue we tackle all the issues concerning Celtic FC and its supporters. Our Have Your Say letters page always carries your thoughts and we do not edit your comments to fit an agenda. We always try to get the opposition fans views in our “How was it for You” column. We also interview former players and fans from all walks of life some famous, some not!. We try to give an independent and fair view in our review section on books and DVD’s etc. We concentrate not only on the football side of the club but on the club’s history, tradition and heritage. We also cover various Celtic supporters events and regularly run articles on supporters clubs from Birmingham to Brazil.
We tackle issues such as racism and sectarianism and in keeping with Brother Walfrid’s values regularly contribute to charities with money made from the sales and advertising. Our most recent donation was €1,500 for Gary Kelly Cancer Fund in September 2008.
The Fanzine was born back in the summer of 2001 and went on sale outside Celtic Park in September that year. It was originally an A5 publication but over the years it has grown to an A4 full colour publication and is now available in newsagents throughout Ireland and Scotland as well as on match days outside stadiums. You can also subscribe and get the magazine delivered to your doorstep or earn some extra cash by selling outside stadiums, in your local pub or on your supporters bus. For more information on becoming a seller contact us.
We are always looking for contributors so keep your letters, articles, cartoons, drawings, funnies, photos and comments coming in.
We are also getting some merchandise made up at the moment including badges and T- Shirts so keep an eye on the website and the fanzine for more information. We also have a number of back issues available to purchase. We also run the successful Celtic Supporters Festival in Duleek, Co. Meath each summer.
The website is still in the early stages and our webmaster Dave Anderson will be improving the website over the next few months and will be joined by Mick McManus to help out on improving our website
